Hyderabad, Jan 18 : The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has unveiled plans to revise the undergraduate curriculum to better match global trends and industry needs. Chairman Prof. V. Balakista Reddy emphasized that the updated syllabus will focus on equipping students with practical skills in addition to theoretical knowledge, ensuring they are job-ready upon graduation.

The main goals of the curriculum revision are:

- Incorporating industry-relevant knowledge and hands-on learning experiences.

- Developing essential job skills to improve students' employability.

- Aligning courses with global industry trends to enhance competitiveness.

Subject-specific committees are overseeing the revision process, with implementation expected soon.

TGCHE has invited feedback from academicians, industry experts, students, and policymakers. Suggestions can be submitted via a Google form on the TGCHE website: www.tgche.ac.in. Key areas for input include the use of technology in education, strengthening research and development, and enhancing internship programs for practical exposure.

Additionally, TGCHE is launching a new internship program to provide students, recent graduates, and young professionals with hands-on experience in higher education governance and policy-making. This initiative aims to bridge academic learning with real-world challenges and prepare students for future challenges like digital transformation and sustainability.

By aligning the curriculum with industry demands and fostering practical experience, TGCHE is ensuring that students are equipped for success in a rapidly changing world.
