Miscreants attack madrasa, mosque, and dargah in Jinnaram

Police clarify idol damage caused by monkeys, not humans

Two separate cases filed against idol damage and subsequent attacks

Sangareddy police have registered two cases after a violent incident in Jinnaram village on Tuesday night. Miscreants attacked a madrasa, dargah, and mosque following the discovery of a damaged Lord Shiva idol atop a large rock.

Local right-wing activists blamed madrasa students and allegedly assaulted those playing nearby. This led to a mob attacking the madrasa, mosque, and dargah.

V. Satyanarayana, IG Multizone, clarified that the idol was damaged by monkeys searching for food, as confirmed by CCTV footage. The police have filed two cases: one for the damage to the idol, and another against right-wing activists involved in the attacks. Authorities have also identified individuals responsible for spreading rumors and inciting the mob.
