Tension at Pakistan High Commission in Delhi

Protest erupted over Pakistan's support to terrorism

India bans Pakistani citizens from entering the country

Pakistan High Commission asked to leave within 48 hours

High tension prevailed at the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi on Thursday following the Indian government’s strong retaliation after the Pahalgam terror attack. Agitated protesters gathered outside the commission, denouncing Pakistan’s alleged support for terrorism and demanding immediate action.

In a crucial move, the Indian government has now banned entry for all Pakistani citizens and tourists into the country. The Centre also issued a 48-hour deadline for all Pakistanis currently residing in India to leave. As part of these measures, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has been ordered to vacate and return to Islamabad immediately.

This unprecedented step comes amid widespread outrage across the country after the brutal attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Officials stated that the government would not tolerate any nation that harbors or supports terrorist networks aimed at destabilizing India.
