Telangana Partners with JSW to Establish Unmanned Aerial Systems Manufacturing Unit

Telangana has made a significant leap in advancing its industrial and technological capabilities by signing a major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with JSW at the World Economic Forum Summit in Davos.

This collaboration marks a milestone in the state's journey toward becoming a hub for defense and drone technology.

JSW announced plans to set up a manufacturing unit for unmanned aerial systems in Telangana, in partnership with a U.S.-based defense technology company. The ₹800 crore project will bring advanced technology to the state and create 200 employment opportunities. The Telangana government formalized this initiative with a signed MoU, underscoring its commitment to fostering innovation and investment.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted the strategic importance of this partnership, stating that it positions Telangana at the forefront of drone technology in India. Minister Sridhar Babu praised the initiative, noting that the facility will drive growth in the defense sector and contribute significantly to the state's overall development.
