Kangana Ranaut Reunites with  Madhavan for New Film After 10 Years

Kangana Ranaut, fresh off the release of her movie Emergency, is already back at work on her next project.

In an exciting development for Bollywood fans, the actress is reuniting with her Tanu Weds Manu Returns co-star R Madhavan for an upcoming film. The duo last shared the screen a decade ago, and their reunion has sparked much anticipation.

On January 27, Kangana took to Instagram Stories to share a behind-the-scenes (BTS) picture from the sets of the yet-to-be-titled film. The picture featured a clapperboard, revealing the shoot details for the day, with Madhavan also starring in the film. In the caption, Kangana expressed her joy about being back on set, saying, "Nothing is more delightful than being on a film set."

This new project is already creating a buzz, especially since it marks the reunion of the beloved Tanu Weds Manu pair. Kangana's recent film, Emergency, in which she portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, has been met with mixed reviews at the box office. Despite high expectations, the film has struggled to draw in viewers, earning just Rs 1.15 crore on its 10th day, with a total collection of Rs 16.70 crore against a reported budget of Rs 60 crore.

In a previous interview about Emergency, Kangana clarified that the film is not political in nature, despite its subject matter. She emphasized that the film tells a story from the 1970s Emergency period in India, rather than promoting any political agenda. According to her, audiences will come away enlightened by the historical context rather than influenced by any particular political message.

With her new project alongside R Madhavan, fans are eager to see what the duo has in store after a decade-long gap. As the film industry eagerly awaits further details, it’s clear that Kangana's passion for storytelling continues to drive her forward.
