Former Minister Vidadala Rajini's Relative Vidadala Gopi Arrested in Threat Case

Gopi arrested by ACB officials for allegedly threatening quarry owners

Case involves extortion demands from gravel quarry owners in Yedlapadu

Former Minister Vidadala Rajini, an accused, is also under investigation

Vidadala Gopi, the relative of former Minister Vidadala Rajini, was arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Gopi has been accused of threatening gravel quarry owners in Yedlapadu and extorting money from them. The case, which also implicates former Minister Rajini, has raised serious concerns regarding the abuse of power by political figures.

According to ACB officials, the arrest came after substantial evidence was gathered about Gopi’s involvement in the extortion scheme. It is alleged that Gopi, along with others, had forcibly collected money from the quarry owners under the threat of harm. The ACB officials have taken Gopi into custody and are planning to transport him to Vijayawada for further investigation.

Former Minister Vidadala Rajini, who is a key figure in the case, has been named as an accused. The authorities have yet to make any further arrests related to Rajini’s involvement, but investigations are ongoing. Gopi’s arrest is seen as a significant development in the case, with many awaiting clarity on Rajini’s role in the alleged criminal activities.

The arrest has sparked political discussions, with opposition parties accusing the ruling party of shielding influential individuals involved in corruption. However, government officials have assured that the investigation will be thorough and fair, regardless of political affiliations.

As the case unfolds, the ACB’s focus will be on gathering more information related to the extortion racket and the involvement of other potential suspects.
