CM Naidu emphasizes the role of AI in enhancing governance

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu chaired a crucial meeting at the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, focusing on the effective utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies in government operations. Organized by the ITE&C Department, in collaboration with the Centre for Government Digital Transformation, the two-day workshop aims to equip senior officials with the knowledge to accelerate public service delivery through AI.

The workshop targets Special Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, and Heads of Departments, aiming to foster an understanding of AI, Machine Learning (ML), and data-driven decision-making in governance. Key discussions will focus on generative AI applications in public administration, with a strong emphasis on data analytics for policy insights.

During his inaugural address, CM Naidu stressed the importance of AI and related technologies for enhancing governance outcomes. He highlighted the need to explore case studies on technology's use across various government sectors, from the village level to the state level. He also emphasized the role of experts, including Prakash Kumar and Kamal Das, who will lead sessions on AI's potential in sectors such as agriculture, education, medicine, and urban development.

The workshop will include special sessions on AI, ML, Deep Learning, ChatGPT, Gemini, and evidence-based governance. The first day is dedicated to secretaries, while department heads will attend on the second day, ensuring comprehensive participation across the government.
