Araku Utsav Kicks Off Grandly

Araku Valley: The much-awaited Araku Utsav 2025, also known as Chali Utsav-25, commenced with grandeur on Friday in the picturesque Araku Valley, Alluri district. The festival was formally inaugurated at the Government Degree College grounds by Alluri district collector A.S. Dinesh Kumar.
Araku Utsav is a unique winter festival that celebrates the rich tribal culture, cuisine, and commercial crops of the region. The event features vibrant cultural performances, special exhibitions, and participation from artists across seven states, enhancing the festival’s appeal to tourists and locals alike.
IAS Officers Join the Festivities
Adding a special touch to the celebrations, IAS officers actively participated in the event, donning traditional pink turbans and engaging in cultural performances. A key highlight was IAS officer Abhishek, who impressed the crowd by singing the popular Telugu song "Neeli Neeli Aakasam" from the movie 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela. His rendition received thunderous applause from the audience.
Another captivating moment was a dance performance by an IAS officer, which further heightened the excitement among attendees. Their participation brought a unique charm to the event and showcased the deep-rooted connection between the administration and local traditions.
A Festival of Culture and Tourism
The festival features specially arranged stalls displaying the region’s tribal cuisine and commercial crops, allowing visitors to experience the unique flavors and agricultural heritage of Araku. Authorities have ensured elaborate arrangements to accommodate the influx of visitors expected over the weekend.
As the three-day festival continues, a significant increase in tourist footfall is anticipated on Saturday and Sunday, making it one of the most celebrated editions of Araku Utsav in recent years. With its blend of culture, music, food, and tradition, the festival promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
