Tirupati, August 5, 2025:
In view of the auspicious Varalakshmi Vratam on August 8, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made elaborate arrangements at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanur to ensure a smooth darshan experience for devotees.
To accommodate the expected large influx of devotees, TTD has set up special queue lines, free annaprasadam distribution, drinking water facilities, and decorative lighting and floral decorations across the temple premises. Comprehensive sanitation efforts are also underway.
The main Varalakshmi Vratam event will be held between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at the Asthana Mandapam. To allow wider public participation, LED screens will be installed within the temple compound, and SVBC channel will telecast the event live.
In the evening, devotees can witness a majestic procession as the Goddess Padmavathi Devi parades through the Mada streets on the golden chariot (Swarna Ratham), offering a divine spectacle.
‘Saubhagya’ Program in TTD Temples:
On this occasion, TTD is also launching the ‘Saubhagya’ program for women devotees, aimed at invoking the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi.
As part of this initiative, 51 TTD local temples across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will distribute sacred items such as akshinthalu (sacred rice), turmeric threads, kumkum, bangles, Lakshmi Ashtottara Namavali booklets, and kankanams (sacred wristbands) to women devotees.
