GHMC Commissioner Ilambarthi has directed the engineering officials to complete the second phase of the Shilpa Layout Phase 2 flyover project by May 15. This phase of the flyover, which stretches from Gachibowli to Kondapur and is being undertaken by the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP), is on track for completion ahead of schedule.

During a review meeting on April 22, the Commissioner was briefed by Chief Engineer Bhaskar Reddy about the ongoing SRDP works. Reddy noted that the acquisition of five remaining properties would be crucial for completing the service road by the targeted date. Ilambarthi instructed Zonal Commissioner Sher Lingam Pally to expedite the acquisition process to meet the deadline.

The Chief Engineer also updated the Commissioner on the status of the Shastripuram and Falaknuma Railway Over Bridge (ROB) works, stating that the railway portion is in progress and expected to be completed by June. Ilambarthi further emphasized the need for coordination with the Railway Chief Engineer to expedite the remaining works.

The Commissioner also called for regular reviews of land acquisition at the zonal level to ensure that all SRDP projects are completed as planned. The meeting was attended by several senior officials, including Additional Commissioner Shiva Kumar Naidu, Deputy Collector Ramulu Nayak, and other engineering and project staff.
