MP Asaduddin Owaisi Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Calls It Bigger Than Pulwama

Intelligence failure evident, says Owaisi; urges Centre to act seriously

Expresses sorrow over loss of foreign tourists in the attack

Demands concrete steps to prevent recurrence of such tragedies

AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a major security lapse and demanding immediate action from the central government. Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Owaisi described the incident as “a bigger attack than Pulwama” in its impact and severity.

Owaisi criticized the visible intelligence failure behind the tragic incident, stressing that it was unacceptable that such a lapse occurred in a high-security area. “This is not a small incident. It’s a shame that despite the presence of multiple security agencies, this kind of attack could take place. The intelligence failure is clearly visible,” he said.

Expressing deep sorrow, Owaisi noted that foreign nationals were among those killed in the attack, making the incident all the more serious in terms of global perception. “It is very unfortunate that innocent tourists, including foreigners, were targeted,” he stated.

Calling on the Union government to pay serious attention to internal security, he urged Home Minister Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure a foolproof system is in place. “Concrete steps must be taken to ensure that such attacks do not recur,” he added.

Owaisi emphasized that mere condemnations were not enough and that accountability within the security establishment was crucial.
