Hyderabad to Thailand Direct Flight Launched
Hyderabad, Jan 31: Air India Express has officially launched direct flight services from Hyderabad to Thailand, marking a significant milestone for travelers in the region.
The inaugural flight from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, to Phuket took off on Friday, with officials highlighting the increased convenience this route will offer.
Key Announcements by GMR and Air India Express
In a statement, Pradeep Panicker, CEO of GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited, emphasized that the new flight service will enhance travel convenience between Hyderabad and Phuket. He also confirmed that the flight duration would be approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Currently, Air India Express operates this route on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. However, starting February 15, the airline will increase its frequency to six flights per week, catering to growing demand.
First Direct Service from Hyderabad to Phuket
Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, expressed delight in being the first airline to introduce a direct service between Hyderabad and Phuket. He stated that this expansion aligns with the airline’s strategy to enhance international connectivity from key Indian cities.
With this launch, Hyderabad travelers can now enjoy seamless, non-stop travel to Thailand’s popular tourist destination, boosting both leisure and business travel between the two regions.
