TDP’s Mahanadu to Be Held in Kadapa; Dates Finalized: Atchannaidu

Amaravati, Jan 31: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has officially announced that this year’s Mahanadu will be held in Kadapa district.

The decision was finalized during the TDP Politburo meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday. Following the meeting, Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu briefed the media on the key resolutions passed.

Atchannaidu revealed that the Mahanadu will be a three-day event in Kadapa, with resolutions passed on May 27 and 28, followed by a massive public meeting on May 29. During the event, Chandrababu Naidu will be re-elected as the TDP National President.

Key Political Resolutions

  • The Politburo has resolved to establish a special tribunal to take action against those responsible for offenses committed during the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) regime.
  • The party has decided to nullify illegal cases filed during the previous government within a stipulated timeframe.
  • The government is considering compensating AgriGold scam victims with land instead of pending financial payments.
  • Legal aspects are being reviewed to restore the 10% reservation quota for Backward Classes (BCs) in local bodies, which was previously reduced.

Welfare Initiatives

The meeting also discussed various welfare initiatives, including:

  1. "Talliki Vandanam" scheme – Funds will be released, and the scheme will be implemented from the next academic year.
  2. Financial aid for fishermen – ₹20,000 will be provided during the fishing ban period.
  3. Implementation of additional Super Six election promises by June.

Atchannaidu assured that the government remains committed to fulfilling all election promises, reaffirming that every commitment made during the campaign will be honored. The Mahanadu event in Kadapa is expected to be a significant milestone for TDP, ahead of its long-term governance strategy.
