Nallamala Goods Vehicle Restrictions Imposed Ahead of Srisailam Shivaratri Festivities
Kurnool, February 8, 2025: Authorities have imposed restrictions on goods vehicle movement in the Nallamala forest region due to the upcoming Srisailam Shivaratri Brahmotsavam.
The move aims to prevent traffic congestion and accidents along the route, ensuring smooth passage for pilgrims and visitors.
The police and transport officials have directed that goods vehicles traveling between Kurnool and Guntur must take the Nandyal-Giddalur route instead of passing through Nallamala.
"Strict action will be taken against those violating the restrictions, with fines ranging between ₹25,000 to ₹50,000," officials warned.
The restrictions will remain in force throughout the festival period to facilitate better traffic management and safety in the region. Authorities urge transport operators to adhere to the new route guidelines to avoid penalties and ensure hassle-free travel.
