Vijayanagaram, Feb 1: Andhra Pradesh weightlifter S. Pallavi clinched a gold medal in the 71 kg women’s category at the 38th National Games being held in Uttarakhand. Her victory comes just a day after K. Neelam Raju won a gold medal in the men’s 67 kg category, making it a proud moment for Andhra Pradesh’s sporting community.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took to social media to congratulate Pallavi on her achievement. "Congratulations, Pallavi! Our daughter from Vijayanagaram has made Andhra Pradesh proud by winning gold in the 71 kg category," he tweeted.

The AP weightlifting contingent has been delivering remarkable performances at the National Games, showcasing their dominance in the sport. Pallavi’s gold medal further strengthens the state's reputation in weightlifting.
