Rahul Gandhi Criticizes Union Budget 2025, Calls It a

Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has strongly criticized the Union Budget 2025, calling it a temporary fix for deeper economic problems.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he remarked that the budget was like "putting a band-aid on a bullet wound" and accused the government of failing to address India's real financial challenges.

Gandhi stated that at a time when the global economy is facing instability, India needs strong financial policies to ensure long-term stability and growth. However, he claimed that the budget lacks vision and fails to address major economic concerns such as unemployment, inflation, and declining investments. He alleged that the BJP-led government is adopting short-sighted economic strategies that provide no real relief to the middle class and struggling sectors.

In contrast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the budget, calling it a roadmap for development that aligns with the aspirations of 140 crore Indians. While the government lauded the budget’s focus on tax relief and infrastructure, the opposition appears determined to challenge its effectiveness in the upcoming parliamentary sessions. Gandhi’s remarks indicate that Congress will continue to oppose the economic policies of the ruling government.
