Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella celebrated the enduring bond between India and the United States, calling himself a "product of the bond" between the two nations during a special Republic Day reception in Seattle.

The event, hosted by the Consulate General of India, marked India's 76th Republic Day and highlighted the immense contributions of the Indian-American community.

Nadella's Tribute to India-US Bond: The Microsoft CEO emphasized the importance of the relationship between the two countries.

State and Congressional Recognition: Several US lawmakers and government officials expressed gratitude for India's global contributions.

Cultural Exhibits and Performances: The reception showcased India's diverse culture through unique exhibits and performances.

Held at the Bell Harbour Conference Centre, the reception saw over 500 attendees from the Indian-American community, including notable figures such as Washington State Governor Bob Ferguson and Nadella himself. The event also marked a first as several members of the US Congress joined the celebrations, reinforcing the strong relationship between the two nations.

During his address, Nadella praised the leadership of both countries for their shared focus on leveraging technology to improve education, healthcare, public service, and small business productivity. He also acknowledged the Indian-American community's global influence, emphasizing their contributions not only to India but to the world.

In addition to Nadella's remarks, Governor Ferguson expressed his eagerness to further strengthen ties with the Consulate General of India in Seattle. He noted the immense impact the Indian community continues to make on the world stage.

The Washington State Senate also recognized the occasion by passing a resolution celebrating India's Republic Day and its strong friendship with the US. This resolution, moved by State Senator Manka Dhingra and supported by Senator Vandana Slatter, was a symbolic gesture of the bond shared between the nations.

The evening featured unique cultural exhibits, including "One District, One Product" (ODOP), highlighting regional crafts from India, and a photo exhibition titled "India through Tim’s Eyes," showcasing iconic Indian landmarks captured by photographer Tim Durkan. The event also included a dance performance, 'Natyam,' that celebrated India's classical dance forms.

To mark the occasion, several iconic Seattle landmarks, including the Seattle Great Wheel and Convention Center, were lit in the colors of the Indian flag. This was a fitting tribute to the shared history and future of India and the United States.

Earlier this month, Nadella met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, where they discussed Microsoft's ambitious plans for expansion and AI development in India. Both leaders expressed excitement over the future of technology and its potential to benefit every Indian citizen.
