Pawan Kalyan Is Already Deputy CM
Butchaiah Chowdary on Lokesh's Position
Amaravati, Jan 29: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary made a striking statement regarding the ongoing demand from some TDP leaders to appoint Minister Nara Lokesh as Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing the issue, Butchaiah Chowdary questioned the need for such a move, emphasizing that Pawan Kalyan is already serving as Deputy CM. He acknowledged Lokesh’s contributions to the party, stating that his current role reflects his efforts.
Discussing the economic condition of Andhra Pradesh, he alleged that investors left the state under YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) rule but are now returning to Visakhapatnam and Rayalaseema as key economic hubs. He credited the central government’s support for the state’s progress and assured that the coalition government is implementing its election promises systematically. Additionally, he called for further clarity on the division of assets between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Butchaiah Chowdary also launched a sharp attack on YSRCP leader V. Vijayasai Reddy, accusing him of large-scale land grabbing and financial misappropriation in Visakhapatnam. He alleged that Reddy misused thousands of acres of land and embezzled funds worth crores of rupees. Furthermore, he claimed that Vijayasai Reddy resigned from Rajya Sabha to avoid legal consequences.
Amid speculation about Vijayasai Reddy potentially joining the BJP, Butchaiah Chowdary dismissed the idea, stating that he does not believe the BJP would accept him. He also predicted that YSRCP members will start deserting the party soon, leading to its eventual collapse.
